Once there lived a queen, a bee-queen in the heart of the Dolomites, the “ white mountains “. Day-in day-out she and her swarm produced through hard work, excellent, natural honey.
The production of Honey Dolomiti follows the old tradition of bee-keeping in the Dolomites.
How honey is produced?
-
In order to produce 1kg of honey bees must visit about 6,000,000 flowers. They carry the nectar to the hive and produce the honey
-
The honey must rest for some time and get cleaned from wax residue
-
Then it is filled up and sold
-
The ripe honey is taken out from the honeycomb through centrifugal force (honey-extractor)
